Prince Charles tested positive for coronavirus last week. The Duke of Cornwall took to Instagram to provide fans with an update on his health.
Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla had traveled to the royal family’s Balmoral estate in Scotland, before the heir to the British throne began displaying mild symptoms. The couple was subsequently tested by the NHS, with Prince Charles testing positive. Duchess Camilla, whose test results were negative, is self-isolating in a separate wing of the Birkhall residence on the Balmoral estate.
The Clarence House Instagram account shared an update regarding the prince’s health. The caption read, “Thank you for all your ‘Get Well Soon’ messages for His Royal Highness. He is enormously touched by your kind words.”
A palace source previously told BAZAAR.com that Charles remains in “good spirits,” and continues to keep busy with work while in quarantine. The source also revealed, per BAZAAR.com’s Royal Editor at Large, Omid Scobie, that Charles “is said to be overwhelmed at the support he has received from well-wishers who have already sent hundreds of get well soon cards and digital messages.”
