The BIG APLE CIRCUS debut their opening night of their 42nd season with celebrity guest ringmaster, Neil Patrick Harris.
The opening night of the 42nd season of the BIG APPLE CIRCUS featured a roster of extraordinary humans including DUPLA MAO NA RODA, and unforgettable strongman routine highlighting the indomitable human spirit, the New York Premiere of the SAVITSKY CATS, and the WHEEL OF DEAT helmed by Jayson Dominguez.
Guest ringmaster, Neil Patrick Harris, tried his hat at both the WHEEL OF DEATH and hanging with the SAVITSKY CATS, both of which he was great at, of course.
Additional celebrity attendees included Coco Roc and family, last year’s guest ringmaster Tinsley Mortimer alongside her boyfriend Scott. Mariska Hargitay and husband Peter Hermann, Lin Manuel Miranda, Alysia Reiner, Laura Benanti, and many more.
Keeping in line with the theme, the BIG APPLE CIRCUS honored some extraordinary New Yorkers for the work they do. Honorees included Victor Calise, the New York Disability Commissioner, Ryan Buggle (Actor, SVU) for his efforts to make dance accessible to all with his Dancing Dreams nonrofit, and Tina Peters, the President of Adoptions alongside Tinsley Mortimer, Rescue Animal Advocate from No Dogs Left Behind.
A portion of the nights’ proceeds will be donated to the Gods Love We Deliver.
