It’s been three years since Jurassic World, and the dinosaurs on the tropical island of Isla Nublar are once again on the loose. Returning co-stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard give Parade some juicy, behind-the-scenes dino-scoops from the exciting sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (in theaters June 22).

Trouble in Paradise. Filming much of the new movie on the Kualoa Ranch in Oahu, Hawaii, Pratt and Howard were surrounded by tropical paradise. But making a blockbuster isn’t always a luau. Scenes in a chlorinated pool fried Pratt’s hair and skin; riding in a zero-gravity gyrosphere made Howard nauseous. And sequences requiring repeated runs down a steep, rocky hill at a physically grueling sprint were “like [being] on a ski slope with no snow,” says Pratt.Dino Alter Egos. If he were a dinosaur Pratt, who’s also the star of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, says he’d be a T-Rex, “because I can’t find anything unless it’s wiggling. I’ll look in the same spot for my keys 10 times.” Howard, who’s starred in The HelpLady in the Water and Spider-Man 3, says she’s more like the enormous, plant-eating Apatosaurus. “The idea of being a gentle giant is very appealing to me.”

A Budding Romance. Both actors beam when talking about their kids, who visited them on the set, where Pratt’s young son, Jack, bonded with Howard’s daughter, Bea. “They’re super compatible,” says Howard. “Sort of like us.” Pratt agrees: “He’s so in love. She bosses him around, and he loves it! I totally see them, like, one day being married.”
