Tennis legends Monica Seles and Venus Williams surprised tennis fans at the American Express Fan Experience during the U.S. Open last week.
The two US Open former Champs greeted fans inside the American Express Pro Walk, a tech-tailored, emotion-focused journey immersing tennis fans in the authentic feeling of stepping out onto the court at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
The experience combines replicas of the player locker room and tunnel, virtual appearances by former US Open champions Seles and Pete Sampras, three-dimensional sound and a dome projection of the stadium to make it truly feel like you’re on center court.
Venus has partnered with American Express for this year’s US Open to create a series of short digital video vignettes (American Express YouTube channel) to show fans what it means to “Open Like a Pro.” Each video shows a different part of Venus’ routine to get ready for the US Open Like a Pro – from starting her mornings off fresh and picking out the perfect outfit for the match to practicing her footwork and getting into the right mindset ahead of the tournament.
