The UN Women for Peace Association (UNWFPA) Annual Awards Luncheon, in celebration of International Women’s Day, will be held on March 4th at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
Honorees include four inspirational individuals and one very deserving foundation: Secretary-General H.E. Mr. Ban Ki-moon, will receive the Leadership Award; their Patron, H.E. Mrs. Ban Soon-taek the Peace Award; HRH Princess Camilla of Bourbon- Two Sicilies, Duchess of Castro the Humanitarian Award; Eugenio López Alonso the International Philanthropy Award; and founder Francine LeFrak will accept the Achievement Award on behalf of the Same Sky Foundation.
The Luncheon Chair is Sana H. Sabbagh and the event’s Special Envoy is Bushra Kyayat Jomaa. The Committee of Honor includes: Reem Acra, H.E. Nassir A. Al-Nasser, Geoffrey Bradfield, Amb. Rosemary A.
