The music world lost a legend last week.

The 65-year old Grammy award winning R&B artist, daughter of jazz legend Nat King Cole, passed away on New Year’s Eve from complications due to an ongoing medical condition.

Some of her biggest hits included: I Live for Your Love, Unforgettable, Miss You Like Crazy, Pink Cadillac and Sophisticated Lady.

Mega-music producer David Foster told People Magazine; ‘the world has lost a great musical force of nature.’

A statement from her son Robert Yancy and sisters Timolin and Casey Cole read; “Natalie fought a fierce, courageous battle, dying how she lived … with dignity, strength and honor. Our beloved Mother and sister will be greatly missed and remain UNFORGETTABLE in our hearts forever.”

Music is one of those amazing and unique things that can make us feel a myriad of emotions. Happy, sad, inspired, uplifted, relaxed, motivated, content, etc.

Natalie Cole had that special gift.

We will miss that like crazy.
