Volunteer global spokesperson and multi-Grammy award winner Christina Aguilera is introducing her new PSA from her recent humanitarian trip in Ecuador where she witnessed the effects of hunger first hand. A bit personal, Aguilera’s father is Ecuadorian.

No stranger to philanthropy, the superstar has traveled many times through the years to various countries and supported many different causes.

Earlier this fall, she launched the annual World Hunger Relief effort benefiting the U.N. World Food Programme (WFP).

With over 795 million people around the world suffering from chronic hunger, the program along with Christina have raised more than $600 million for WFP and other hunger relief organizations providing 2.4 billion nutritious meals for those in need since its launch in 2007.
