The stars came out in droves to celebrate the amazingly accomplished talents of Steve Martin.

From the small screen to the big, the many stages, music, and the audiences in private settings that I could only wish to be among, he does it all.

Audi of America and its partnership with AFI at the 43rd Life Achievement Award honored Steve Martin with a star-studded affair with Martin’s past co-stars and friends.

Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels held court with Martin throughout the evening, as SNL alumns such as Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Mya Rudolph, Kevin Nealon, Fred Armison and more paid tribute to their comedic, and beloved castmate.

Martin’s The Three Amigos co-star and close friend Martin Short sat next to him throughout the evening, catching up and joking with Lorne Michaels all through dinner.

Countless comedians including Steve Carrel, Diane Keaton, Lilly Tomlin, Conan O’Brien, Queen Latifah and more paid tribute and roasted Martin throughout the night.

Fellow “wild and crazy guy” Dan Ackroyd gave a heartfelt speech and credited Steve Martin with creating the Blues Brothers, while guests were in awe to see accomplished filmmaker Carl Reiner on hand to praise one of “his favorites to work with.”

At the end of the evening, Mel Brooks presented the 43rd Life Achievement Award to Martin, who took the chance to profoundly thank the crowd and his wife, but didn’t miss the chance to also roast a few of his presenters in brilliant Steve Martin fashion.

Well deserved.
