Kathy Griffin opened her stand-up show at The Borgata Hotel with a stream of profanities and exclaimed, “Now you know this isn’t the Sarah McLachlan concert!”
Knowing that her audience at the Atlantic City hotel’s Show That Never Ends was eager to learn about her recent resignation for E!’s Fashion Police, she asked, “Did you know this was the night after the shit was gonna go down?”
Sarah McLachlan, Nick Cannon and Amber Rose were also on the bill.
One of the most talked about subjects, even by Cher – who called her to commiserate the night before at her Waterbury, CT show – Griffin’s resignation apparently simply had to do with the fact that she can’t make fun of women’s appearances, because she’s a feminist and would rather make fun of their behavior.
With Kelly Osborne and now Griffin gone, the show has since announced a hiatus to “re-group” and will return after later this year.
