Join renowned art critic David Hickey & artist Darren Waterston in a provocative conversation on art, wealth, and patronage at DC Moore Gallery on Thursday, November 20th.
The event will be co-hosted by Smithsonian’s Freer-Sackler and MASS MoCA and will celebrate the new book, Darren Waterston: Filthy Lucre.
The book offers original photography of Waterston’s recent large-scale installation, Filthy Lucre, a re-imagining of James McNeill Whistler’s famous Peacock Room as a decadent ruin, collapsing under the weight of its own excesses, materials and history.
