Super-duper talent Viggo Mortensen promotes new French film ‘Loin des Hommes’ or ‘Far From Men‘ at the 71st Venice Film Festival last weekend.

The multilingual Danish–American actor, who’s also a poet, musician, photographer and painter, can now add Arabic and more French to his resume of languages. He’s apparently fluent already in English, Danish, and Spanish, and comfortable with Italian, and understands Norwegian and Swedish.

The movie spearheaded by French director David Oelhoffen, is about a French teacher in a small Algerian village during the Algerian War who forms an unexpected bond with a dissident, and is then ordered to turn him in to the authorities.

Mortensen, one of the best actor’s in Hollywood has wowed us for years in classics like ‘Witness’, Carlito’s Way, ‘A Perfect Murder’ and The Lord of the Rings‘ trilogy just to name a few, as well as my favorite ‘The History of Violence.’
