The 67th Cannes Film Festival is in full swing and Zoe Saldana is working it.
Saldana, who stars in the reportedly controversial biopic of Nina Simone, took to the red carpet and no doubt wowed potential international distributors prior to its screening.
There have been murmurs of problems throughout the film’s production from original casting intended for Mary J Blige, to a legal suit bought on by its director Cynthia Mort.
‘Nina’, which was also slated for a 2013 release, is the story of the late jazz musician and classical pianist Nina Simone including her rise to fame and relationship with her manager Clifton Henderson.
