Ryan Gosling has a new film but this time the tables are turned.

The actor has jumped into the director’s chair for ‘Lost River’ about a single mother swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town.

The film premiering at the Cannes Film Festival has reportedly not screened well but the writer and director put on a smile and showed up solo and posed with one of his cast including Christina Hendricks.

Also starring is Saorsie Ronan, former “Doctor Who” star Matt Smith and Gosling’s girlfriend, Eva Mendes.

Originally called ‘How to Catch a Monster,‘ the Warner Bros. pic does not yet have a release date.
