The hip gals from Netflix hit ‘Orange is the New Black’ cleaned up nice the other night as Century 21 Department Store, Caravan Stylist Studio and the Carlton hotel teamed up with 32 New York-based fashion designers to launch an I LOVE NY t-shirt initiative to support Save the Garment Center, a non-profit organization that aims to preserve New York’s Garment District and support factories, suppliers and designers through education and advocacy.

These local fashion designers infused their personal design aesthetic to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces using the iconic I LOVE NY t-shirt. Shoppers were able to purchase the32one-of-a-kind designs exclusively on Century 21’s website, www.c21stores.com, which retailed for $100 each.

Designer Theia also hand-created a special I LOVE NY dress, which retailed for $350. All proceeds benefited the Save the Garment Center.

Designers included Nanette Lepore, Lauren Merkin, Shoshanna, Hanky Panky, Primary, Walter and Saunder, among others.

Renowned DJ Hesta Prynn (who recently spun for the Season 3 Premiere of GIRLS) spun a special set for the party, which she recorded and is releasing on Spotify for the public to enjoy.

Celebrity attendees included Talk Stoop’s Cat Greenleaf and her dog Gracie (who was sporting a special I LOVE NY tee-shirt); Jackie Cruz, Selenis Leyva and Diane Guerro from Orange is the New Black; Valorie Curry from The Following; Juliette Goglia from the Michael J Fox Show; Independent Spirit Award-nominated actress Yolanda Ross; Rachel Brosnahan from House of Cards; and more.
