Designed in the early 70’s, Diane Von Furstenberg‘s iconic wrap dress celebrated 40 years at the opening of her “Journey Of A Dress” Exhibition at May Company Building Friday.
The stars were out including Sean Penn’s ex Robin Wright and daughter Dylan, Abbie Cornish,Rosario Dawson, Demi Moore, Marisa Tomei, Tobey Maguire, Edward Norton and Joe Jonas.
The exhibit which features the designer’s favorite dresses from throughout the decades, along with new creations based on vintage styles and fabrics are on view until April 1 at the Wilshire May Company Building.
There are also paintings and portraits of Von Furstenberg from artists such as Andy Warhol and Annie Leibovitz.
