The stars were out big-time Monday night.

Monster names like Julia Roberts, Sean Penn, Jake Gyllenhaal, Harrison Ford, Viola Davis, Jeremy Renner, Amy Adams, Juliette Lewis and Sandra Bullock just to name a few, were at the 17th Annual Hollywood Film Awards at the Beverly Hilton.

Sean Penn presented Julia Roberts with the supporting actress award for her work in “August: Osage County.”‘It was my dream cast,” said Roberts. “It was something I almost didn’t do. I was scared because I am that paradox of person who wants to be Lucille Ball, but who wants to be invisible.

The film adaptation of Tracy Lett’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize winning dark comedy drama with three sisters at its core, co-starring Meryl Streep, and a large ensemble cast including Juliette Lewis, Dermot Mulroney, and Julianne Nicholson, is scheduled to open during Christmas.
