Superstar Oscar winning actors Sean Penn and Robert De Niro will be turning a year older today. Coincidentally, the good friends were each born on August 17.
Penn, who will be 53, and his pal De Niro, 70, have known each other, acted together and been friends for many years since their 1989 critically slammed ‘We’re No Angels’ and then onto 2008’s ‘What Just Happened’.
Both are two-time Academy Award winners with Penn’s superlative performances being ‘Mystic River’ and ‘Milk’, and De Niro’s ‘The Godfather Part II’ and ‘Raging Bull.’
The longtime friends have also been known to throw a joint birthday soiree every now and again.
