It’s official. People love movie star Leonardo DiCaprio.

From the imaginative mind of writer/producer/Oscar nominated director Baz Luhrmann roared onto the big screen the adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel The Great Gatsby.

The cast is incredible from Leo’s starring role as mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and his real-life bestie Tobey Maguire as would be writer Nick Carroway, to the quietly captivating Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan as Daisy, The Great Gatsby is compelling, exciting,  3D eye-popping and keeps your attention but sadly left me yearning for more. However, it didn’t matter. The colorful extravaganza brought in $51 mil at the box office.

The tragic story of love and ambition, the rich and the poor, all taking place in the roaring 20’s on Long Island, NY.

Isla fisher, Joel Edgerton and Jason Clarke surely helped the great numbers.
