The celebrity sightings this past holiday season dominated the luxurious island of St. Barts, the tropical sun of Hawaii and of course the always popular and just a hop, skip and a jump away from Los Angeles, Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
However, this lesser known Caribbean island of gorgeous and tranquil Anguilla over the years has had a significant increase in celebrity visitors and over the past couple of months, having some islanders calling it the new St. Barts.
The island made it to national TV when the Real Housewives of Atlanta visited, and now these A-list celebs were sighted during Christmas and New Years:
Sir Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell, Aidan Quinn and Liam Neeson were spotted at Trattoria Tramonto for New Years Eve.
The McCartney’s were then seen later at Viceroy Anguilla–where others like Robert Downey Jr., Warren Sapp and Kelly Osbourne were also spotted partying in the evening hours.
Elly Douglas, Denzel Washington and Charlize Theron were also seen around the island and Shoal Bay –where a new development called Zemi Beach is underway by a U.S. developer.
The sightings have created buzz on the island that more A-listers may own on the island instead of just dropping anchors off the shore after departing from St. Barts.
