The 92nd Street Y was buzzing with socialites and fashionistas the other night as they came out to listen to Marc Jacobs in the hot seat with fashion industry leader and award-winning creator of New York Fashion Week Fern Mallis at the Fashion Icons Talks with Marc Jacobs hosted by MARTINI Sparkling Wines.
Jacobs was all smiles as he answered questions and posed for pictures, including a picture with Fern Mallis and a magnum bedazzled bottle of MARTINI Asti with the designer’s name in silver crystals.
Over 900 guests, including Socialite Emma Snowdon Jones, the legendary Stan Herman, fashion designer Geoffrey Banks, featured buyer for Saks Fifth Avenue on “Fashion Star” Terron Schaefer, CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Steven Kolb, fashion editor and stylist Jenny Capitain, architect Scott Bromley and CNN Correspondent Alina Cho gathered in the Kauffman Hall to hear the man with “no regrets” speak.
Jacobs says he’s “perfectly imperfect” (referring to the meaning of the word “perfect” tattooed on his wrist), doesn’t consider himself rich, lives in Paris 6 months of the year and loves attention, dish about his life and career.
