Opening in a few weeks on Manhattan’s Lower East Side from Eugene Remm, Mark Birnbaum and Michael Hirtenstein, partners in New York’s premiere hospitality company EMM Group, is Modern Asian restaurant, The General.

The 300-seat, 20,000 sq ft. Modern Asian restaurant (with nightclubs Finale and Bow attached and already open) will stretch across 80 feet of prime storefront, with a glass, garage-door paneled facade opening directly into the front café at the corner of Bowery and Spring Streets.

Coming off the success of red hot MePa destination seafood restaurant CATCH, Top Chef Season 3 Winner and Executive Chef Hung Huynh has created a menu of shareable signature dishes featuring standouts such as Firecracker Crab Claws, Pepper-Steak Sticky Buns and Kung Pao Black Bass, which patrons can enjoy in the more casual cafe or deep within the bustling main dining room.
