Writer and producer of television extraordinaire  Norman Lear is who is the genius behind 70s sitcoms such as All in the Family, Sanford and Son, One Day at a Time, The Jeffersons, Good Times and Maude, and screen acting legend Alan Alda of ‘M*A*S*H*, happily accept their honors at the 40th Annual International Emmy Awards.

The 90 year old producing icon received a special honor for his tackling social issues that paved the way for today’s sitcoms, as well as the 76 year old veteran actor who starred in the the long-running Korean-war set comedy, M*A*S*H* about doctors on the front lines.
