Celebrity Chef Rachael Ray knows how to cook up a great dish, but better than that she knows how to help displaced pets in need of  a home after super-storm sandy.

Together with the ASPCA, Ray with a $500,000 donation, has funded an emergency boarding facility for NYC pets displaced by the storm.

The 20,000-square-foot shelter in an empty warehouse located in Brooklyn’s Bed-Sty neighborhood, is for animals whose owners are unable to care for them while rebuilding their homes and lives.

The ASPCA is running the facility with city and federal officials.

For the next 30 days, the shelter will take in rescued animals and give owners a place to temporarily send their pets and other locations are set to open this week.

Pet owners can call a hotline at 347-573-1561 and their pets will be picked up.
