Paramount’s amazing action-comedy franchise ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ is about to come to the small screen via actor/producer Eddie Murphy, and seasoned cop writer and creator of ‘The Shield’, Shawn Ryan.
The storyline will center around Murphy’s character’s son, Aaron, also on the Beverly Hills police beat, and his fish-out-of-water efforts to take down criminals in Beverly Hills while living in his father’s shadow.
Murphy will producer and have a recurring role.
For years, there was talk between Murphy and director/friend Brett Ratner after working together on ‘Tower Heist‘ and almost the Oscars (never happened) that they would do a fourth installment for the franchise, but so far that fizzled.
