Bruce Willis is lined up to star as a CIA agent in the thriller “American Assassin” which is part of Vince Flynn’s series of Mitch Rapp books, reported Variety.
The super star was just at The 37th Toronto Film Festival with the premiere of his sci-fi film with a time travel plot ‘Looper’ co-starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt set to hit theatres September 28.
Jeffrey Nachmanoff is on board to direct from a script by Mike Finch.
The pic revolves around a former Syracuse grad student Mitch Rapp, who joins the CIA after his girlfriend his killed by a terrorist attack. Willis will play the CIA operative serving as a mentor to Rapp.
The pic is expected to go into production in the fall of 2013.
