Creme Urquell (Hladinka)

All ale Hospoda!

Beer Lovers are heading to NY’s Upper East Side to experience the artistry of beer, and some really good food too.

Just celebrating its first anniversary last week, guests rushed the doors at the Czech cuisine restaurant with its signature pours of Draught Master’s Pilsner Urquell, served four different ways; Sweet, Slice, Crème (pictured) or Neat, and congregated around the handsome bar with a funky see-through floor to experiment for themselves.

Meaning ‘Pub’ in Czech, while admiring the art engraved walls in the quaint room full of ambiance, we savored the various pours to wash down the noshes including beef tartar on toasted crostini, warm ham and brioche shooters, and duck with horseradish and potato served tastefully on a spoon.

The staff was friendly and informative and local Long Island musician Benoir strummed us to happiness with traditional Czech music.

Perfect evening.
