X Factor finalist Stacy Francis had an altercation with Whitney Houston days before her sudden death. The rumored story goes like this:
Stacy, also among the guests at ‘Kelly Price and Friends Unplugged: For the Love of R&B Grammy Party’ at Tru Hollywood Thursday night, was seen talking with Ray J who was Whitney’s pal, ex-boyfriend, boy toy, friend depending on who you ask. He also happens be the brother of singer Brandy and ex-boyfriend and sex tape partner of Kim Kardashian.
Whitney, after jumping on stage to perform with friend Kelly Price, reportedly got bent out of shape after seeing the two talking and I guess in true Whitney style, the powerful diva spoke her mind.
“Whitney just got belligerent,” a witness told The Hollywood Reporter. “Ray was trying to defend Stacy, telling Whitney, ‘Stacy’s family!’, but Whitney was feeling crowded out and hands were raised.”
Radar Online quotes an eyewitness who said that Whitney had been “drinking tequila the entire night and appeared to be highly intoxicated,” which may explain her behavior when she came offstage to find her boyfriend Ray J chatting with former X-Factor star Stacy Francis.
A witness says that Whitney began screaming, “This is my man! I’m a cougar! B*tch, get away from my man!” and although Ray J tried to calm Whitney down by explaining that Stacy was a family friend, she was inconsolable. Whitney then shoved Stacy, who shoved her back. “People were pleading for Whitney to chill out. It was embarrassing,” the witness said.
Ironically, the “X Factor” finalist had credited Houston as her inspiration after being pulled onstage to sing with the icon in 1999 during a concert, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, were re-introduced beforehand at the party and all seemed fine until Ray J, who had dated Houston on-and-off for several years, entered the conversation.
Francis has seen tweeted how bad she felt about the “misunderstanding”.
