Can you say DASH Dallas?
On Saturday the LA Times reported that Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks for a first-round draft pick after the New Orleans Hornets failed to make a three-way trade involving Odom that would have sent Odom to the Hornets, Chris Paul to the Lakers, and Pau Gasol to the Houston Rockets.The deal was just confirmed by the Mavericks.
For seven years, Lamar Odom has been with the Lakers and blood , sweat and teared his way to the basket and 2 championships. So why did he request a trade? “You don’t want to go to no place you’re not wanted,” Odom told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.
Speculation is that maybe the Lakers wanted to make room for some new blood or perhaps it was his 17 mil salary, or was it his mini-meltdown behavior during last seasons last game that gave the nice guy at heart the boot. Of course, it couldn’t have anything to do with the Kardashian reality TV cameras briefly running around the locker room during E!’s Khloe & Lamar series. No, definitely not. Wink.
In any event, it looks like Lamar and Khloe are headed to Dallas where they’ll be having intimate dinner parties with the coolest owner in the business, Mark Cuban.
