A staged reading of A.R. Gurney’s timeless play with Renee Fleming and the hardest working man in show business Alec Baldwin will be performed at Carnegie Hall November 17. The celebrated soprano along with the award winning actor will perform the piece which centers around two characters that sit side by side at tables and read the notes, letters and cards – in which over nearly 50 years, they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives.

This special event is hosted by Carnegie Hall’s Notables,
