Sony Pictures is looking to remake the 1976 music-themed picture ‘Sparkle’ and Whitney Houston is considering returning to the big screen opposite ‘American Idol’ winner Jordin Sparks, who will be making her movie debut. If Houston stars in the film which follows the highs and lows of a 1950’s all-girl singing group, it will mark her first role in fifteen years. Whit, who will also executive produce and has been attached to the project for years, is scheduled to play the “not so encouraging” mother of the girls in the group. Mike Epps is also set to star.

Look forward to seeing Whitney show us how its done.
