The handsome Eddie Cibrian is starring in NBC’s new provocative drama ‘The Playboy Club’ from Oscar winning producer Brian Grazer.
Eddie, (‘CSI: Miami,’ ‘Third Watch’) who’s been known more for his personal life lately after divorcing ‘Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ friend Brandy Glandville and marrying country star LeAnn Rimes, talked a little about the 60’s era in which the show takes place. “For some reason like in the 60’s you felt there was more of a swagger back then you felt like gentlemen were gentlemen. They took pride in what they wore. They had a lot more accessories which I think is pretty cool. Especially during the time in the early 60’s, you know you were coming off a time of very – that 50’s decade and you were coming into this kind of social revolution, sexual kind of-a new expression or people. And, they kind of showed it the way they carried themselves and what they wore.”
Eddie plays Nick Dalton, one of the city’s top attorney’s, rubbing elbows with everyone in the Windy City’s power structure.
His co-star Amber Heard (‘Zombieland’ The Stepfather’) plays the stunning and innocent new Playboy bunny who finds herself in trouble her first night on the job. “The show is all about fun. And it is. It is a blast to work on, Said Amber. We’ve got music, we’ve got dancing, we’ve got performances, we got you know spotlights and fishnets and lipstick and you know jazz and martinis and what more could you want? And the bunny costumes? “The bunny suit requires a whole number of things. It requires a small team to get you in and out of them.”
And in case you were wondering if ultimate playboy himself pajama wearing, young lady lovin’ Hugh Hefner has any involvement, he does. “Hugh Hefner absolutely loves the show. He tweets about it all the time said Exec Producer Chad Hodge. “He’s the narrator of the pilot so u hear his voice in the pilot. Hef is always sort of omnipresent in the show. You see him from the back and you know people talk about him. He’s definitely part of it but it’s really the story of the club.”
The Playboy Club’ premieres on NBC Monday, September 19 at 10p ET.
