Looks like NBC is looking for the next Will & Grace because they just ordered a script for half-hour “My Best Friend Is A Lesbo” from “Gossip Girl” executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and their Fake Empire shingle through Warner Bros Television.
The script by writers Sascha Rothchild and Randi Barnes who will also co-executive produce, is a single-camera comedy about a pair of female best friends, one gay and one straight who help one another in life, love and dating in Los Angeles.
Josh Schwartz, who is best known for creating and producing Fox’ mega hit The O.C., and who also co-created NBC’s Chuck, at 26 became the youngest person in network history to create a network series.
