That of course is 58 year old Roseanne Barr better known as Roseanne the stand-up comic who turned her real life shtick into one of the biggest TV sitcoms ever which changed the course of Television. Roseanne has done it all. Marriages divorces, kids, grand kids, Emmy, Globe, New York Times best-selling author, blogger, real-life issues, mega-money, spangled the banner, Twitter Queen and even mentions a run for President. Roseanne left the hustle and bustle of the frenzied LA life to new found tranquility of living the farm life on Hawaii’s Big Island.

Roseanne spoke to some of us reporters on a conference call last week and it was a hoot to say the least. “I come from one of the reddest states there is Utah, Salt lake City. I had a conservative background and started thinking everything was ridiculous.”

Why do a reality show? “Well because, I had something to say and I wanted to. I just wanted to.” How did it come about, did network executives reach out to you? Said Roseanne laughing, “I have no idea.” Roseanne continues laughing hard.

‘Roseanne’s Nuts’, her new Lifetime reality show has her living on a macadamia nut farm (you couldn’t write this any better) with her son Jake (from her first marriage) and her long-time musician boyfriend Johnny who she met on the internet through her website roseanneworld.com “I met Johnny on my site. He’ really pissing me off on this reality show. We fight all the time.”

But a nut farm? “I had to do something to fight back to what America is doing to its farmers. Do a righteous cause. I’m doing all this in the background behind all the stupid stuff you see on my show. There’s an incredible method to my madness.” And what about all this political talk. “In order to run for President of the United States, I have to do a reality show. And that is my goal.” Roseanne, who lately has been very vocal about her dismay for the way things are going in our country, made reference to running for President a few times.

Back to Hawaii. I asked Roseanne, Can you walk around the malls and not get bothered or mobbed?  “No, they say hello. I get a great sense of community from Hawaii.”

Roseanne has five kids 16, 33, 34, 36 and 40. And five grand kids all under the age of 11 and they all live very close and see each other all the time. Roseanne’s advice for mothers? “Leave your kids alone. Get off their backs. They already know everything so give it a break they’ll find their way without your coaching.”

Finally, what’s next for Roseanne? “Porn.” Of course. Check out ‘Roseanne’s Nuts’ on Lifetime Wednesday’s at 9pm ET. This week’s episode shows Roseanne preparing Passover dinner with vegetable from her garden.
