Sony Pictures action comedy about two amateur criminals who kidnap a pizza delivery guy, strap a bomb to his chest and inform him that he has mere hours to rob a bank or else sounds totally unrealistic, stupid and silly right? Not so much, it’s entertaining funny, sarcastic, witty, nasty and joins the ranks of all the current hip teen oriented movies that are dirty as in filthy and sexually crass just the way we like it. And it also happens to include a bit of an endearing story in between the over-the-top police chases, hired assassins and flamethrowers. Jesse Eisenberg, Danny McBride, Nick Swardson and Aziz Ansari open Friday, August 12 in ‘30 Minutes or Less’ produced by Hollywood big shot Ben Stiller’s company Red Hour Productions. I wouldn’t say it’s the time of your life but the time does fly by, so it’s worth the laughs.
