Well Gossip Gal’s write-up sometime back on how Sarah Silverman needs a comedy show desperately on a major network got someone’s attention because the deliciously dirty comic just landed a deal at NBC with mogul Ron Howard executive producing. Silverman, who has been off cabler Comedy Central for a while, will star in an untitled pilot loosely based on her life as a single girl readjusting to the single life after a recent break-up, similar to that of her relationship with ABC’s talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. With all the junk on TV, you would have thought this was a no-brainer years ago.
Apparently, Silverman was wanted by all four networks and NBC won out in the bidding war.
Can’t wait to watch that one!
