Amazing actor Chazz Palminteri has just joined the talented cast of Gotti: In The Shadow of My Father’ and will play Mafia boss Paul Castellano alongside Ben Foster, Al Pacino, John Travolta, Kelly Preston, and their daughter Ella Blue.
Actress Lindsay Lohan who was at one time attached and even appeared at a press conference promoting the picture, soon after found herself unattached . Lindsay herself has publicly stated she wants a role badly in the film but so far no word confirming that. Gossip Gal spoke to the films press rep and asked about Lindsay’s involvement and was told “As of right now she is not yet signed.”
Indie producer Fiori Films which made the announcement to The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday, has Oscar winner Barry Levinson (Rainman) directing the biopic from a script he co-wrote with Oscar nominee James Toback (Bugsy). Filming begin January 3 in New York.
“GOTTI: In The Shadow Of My Father” reveals the relationship of a father who lived and died by the mob code and a son who chose to leave that world behind and redeem himself. Never before has there been such an inside look at the life of the Gotti family and their world of danger, betrayal and redemption.
Palminteri who wrote and starred in 1993’s “A Bronx Tale,” said, “I have seen this film come together from the very start and am pleased to be able to work alongside such great talent to bring this story to the big screen. “I have been a longtime admirer of Barry Levinson and am looking forward to working with him.”
