Adam Sandler has signed on to voice the lead role of Dracula in Sony Pictures Animated 3D family comedy ‘Hotel Transylvania,’ which is Dracula’s lavish resort where monsters and families can live it up free from meddling humans. Good friend Kevin James will play ‘Frank’-enstein and Fran Drescher will play his larger than life bride. David Spade will play Quasimodo, the former hunchback of Notre Dame who’s now a gourmet chef while “it” playa of the moment Cee Lo Green will play Murray a singing mummy. Sandler favorite Steve Buscemi and Molly Shannon will play werewolves and Andy Samberg will play an interloping fellow who arrives on the scene and turns the Prince of Darkness’ world upside down.

Said Sony Pictures Animation, “We’re thrilled to be working with Adam to create a comedic Dracula for a new generation,” We have a unique story about that iconic character … that re-imagines Transylvania and its legendary monsters in the way that only animation can.”

Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars, Dexter’s Laboratory) is helming the film, which opens September 21, 2012.
