Chris Evert, one of the most accomplished tennis players in history, has joined ESPN as an analyst for its extensive schedule at Wimbledon and the US Open. Evert who has three Wimbledon and a record six U.S. Open titles among her major singles championships winning at least one each year for 14 consecutive years, will begin her commentary June 20 from London’s Wimbledon. Evert said, “I am really excited about working again in tennis as an analyst. I’ve been away from TV for 10 years because my priority was raising my three boys, and now that they are older it is the right time to join the exceptional tennis team at ESPN. I have many friends there and enjoy watching their coverage so I look forward to getting back behind the microphone.” Evert, who was married to pro golfer Greg Norman in a lavish sunset ceremony which lasted only 15 months, started out at the tender age of 15 and went on to win every accolade and award including athlete of the year many times, grand slam this and that, and greatest woman athlete by the women’s sports foundation.
