Funny girls Kristin Wiig and Maya Rudolph star in an unforgettable romantic comedy about friendship, growing pains and matrimony in Bridesmaids. This emotional, comedic and multidimensional film will keep you laughing throughout the entire movie.

What if your Maid of Honor wasn’t so honorable? The oh-so-realistic story of Bridesmaids brings back memories for some, and hopefully prepares others what NOT to do while planning your best friend’s wedding!

It’s a female comedic all-star line up that also includes Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendy McLendon-Covey and Elli Kemper. McLendon-Covey expressed that while filming the “girls didn’t have any vanity, nobody was worried about being the butt of the joke, it’s like please let me be the butt of the joke, is this going to be embarrassing and gross? Alright, what time should I be there?”

And what would a romantic comedy be without a juicy sex scene? Without giving it away, Kristin said be aware that Jon Hamm is “a dream to work with, he’s up for anything!”

Not only did the film include non-stop humor, but the plot also delves deep in the minds of women, into places that aren’t normally addressed in a comedy. Writer Annie Mumolo emphasized that since she “had been a bridesmaid several times in two years.” The ideas and storyline “came from a real place in real life.”

Director Paul Feig said, “I’ve know so many funny women over the years and I’ve always been such a big fan of Kristen.” Wiig and Mumolo spent months writing the script and knew that so many women could relate to being in a bridesmaid-zilla situation.

Paul continued that editor William Kerr preferred to “sacrifice jokes to keep the characters going… we had so many jokes but couldn’t use a lot of it so it wouldn’t subvert the plot.”

If you’re a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding, here’s advice from the ladies on what to tell the bride…

“State your boundaries, this is what I’m willing to do and this is what I’m willing to spend. If the rules are not okay with you [bride], I’d rather just keep the friendship. I’m not going on all these Girl Scout activities with you. After you get married, we are not playing this game anymore, you are not the queen!”
