That would be the much hyped and over talked about up-coming royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton that Tori Spelling was jokingly referring to when we discussed her new wedding planning reality show on Oxygen ‘Tori & Dean: sTORIbook Weddings,’ where the lovey-dovey inseparables work to give 8 lucky couples a dream day wedding that only few ever get to have. How did the series come about? “Kind of our lifestyle because we love to throw parties and basically love any excuse to throw a party, said Tori. “We’ve thrown many for our children and a few friends had asked us to throw their wedding. We started getting into weddings and then in actuality I said to Dean that I wanted to start a party planning business. I wanted to do this as a hobby and then we partnered with Oxygen and decided to do it on TV for eight lucky couples.” Was Tori impressed with Dean’s quick study of wedding planning while she was fussing over flowers, favors, cakes and gowns? “Definitely, said Spelling. “He was always really helpful when we throw parties for the kids and stuff so I knew he’d be great at it. But he really stepped in and just took over. I mean every episode he builds something for one of the weddings. And he’s creative and handy and I was really impressed at all his work that he did. I mean he did some pretty impressive buildings in the episodes.” What did hubby say? “Thanks babe.” Good hubby. Finally, I asked Tori who is really a woman of all trades, does she think this wedding planning thing could be a new gig? “Well I was hoping for the Royal Wedding but they haven’t seen my work yet.” Catch ‘Tori and Dean: sTORIbook Weddings’ Wednesday, April 6 at 10pm ET.
