It’s all in the family for Tyler Perry and Lionsgate. Perry, who acts, directs, writes and everything else, has made 10 films in the past six years with the studio and grossed over 500 million dollars at the North American box office, so it’s no surprise the studio just resigned him for another two with an option for more. His next film ‘Madea’s Big Happy Family’ comes out April 22 and he just wrapped ‘We the Peeples’ starring Kerry Washington, Craig Robinson, David Alan Grier and Kari Hawk a comedy about a child psychologist surprising his girlfriend and showing up at her family’s annual get-together at their vacation home only to find them desperately in need of therapy. If Lionsgate didn’t sign Perry, they would be in need of therapy.
