I have to say it’s refreshing to hear that James Murdoch the youngest son of News Corp Chairman Rupert is lined up to be his successor. Many times we hear these horror stories of how the sons of the rich, powerful and successful always seem to have family fall outs, so it’s nice to hear that it’s all in the family for Rupert, and that his kid will continue the legacy that Rupert has built. Apparently, James will relocate to New York from London where he’s been running the show for eight years and become chairman and chief executive of News Corp’s international businesses, retaining his duties to Europe and Asia and report to the number two in charge, Chase Carey. News Corp is the world’s third largest media conglomerate and owns film, TV, Cable Programming, Satellite TV, Magazines, Newspapers, Books, Sporting Events and Websites.
