Rumor has it that ‘Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark” on Broadway, the musical which has had more troubles than our unemployed “winning” friend Charlie Sheen, is thinking about getting rid of director extraordinaire Julie Taymor. Variety just reported that producers and reps haven’t confirmed or denied but it seems that her exit could be faster than Charlie Sheen’s from CBS. Taymor, who has been under massive pressure and worked tirelessly to get the show on its feet, may not fit into the new show direction, production overhaul and design. Or at least that’s what they want us to think. Opening night has been dated for March 15 but who knows. Stay tuned. Taymor was the first woman ever to win a Tony Award for directing a musical and for costume design.
