Funeral Party/Courtesy RCA Records

Los Angeles-based indie rock band Funeral Party formed late one night while drinking in a park in Whittier, California where the post-punk dance craze was dominating. After years of  gigging all over LA and acquiring a cult following, they now find themselves having their album release showcase at NYC’s very cool Mercury Lounge Mar 30 (mercuryloungenyc.com) celebrating their much talked about debut album ‘The Golden Age of Knowhere’ dropping March 29. Now that’s how you do it. Check out Spring tour dates when FP tours with Deftones and Dillinger Escape Plan.

“…singer Chad Elliot [makes] a good case for being the best male vocalist in local rock right now – he can shriek like Jagger and flail like MacKaye.”

  1. I would love to go to this! So cool. I’ll just listen to “Golden Age of Knowhere” and be there in spirit, I suppose. Congrats to the guys; they deserve it!
