A broken tailbone can’t deter accomplished actor and pro Maria Bello. After recently breaking her tailbone while snowboarding in Sun Valley, Idaho with her nine year old son, it was announced a few days ago that she will play lead detective in NBC’s ‘Prime Suspect,’ the U.S. adaption of the British import in a role that was originated by Helen Mirren. The NBC edition has Bello playing a tough detective in a tough New York precinct dominated by men. A part that I think Maria Bello will master. Peter Berg, actor turned producer, writer and director, will be one of the executive producers and direct the pilot.
