First, Oracle Billionaire Larry Ellison’s son David got into the movie business and cut a production deal for over $300 million dollars with Paramount Pictures and now Variety is reporting that his daughter Megan just financed the next picture for hot Hollywood duo Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal of Annapurna Pictures, responsible for last year’s Oscar smash ‘The Hurt Locker.’ The project will start production in early summer and is based on a true story of a U.S. military black ops mission with ramifications still being felt around the world. Of course, once again Bigelow, who beat out ex-husband James Cameron last year for best director and picture, will direct with partner Boal writing the script. Ellison who has a producing credit on the current highly acclaimed ‘True Grit’ along with her brother’s company Skydance Productions, also has produced smaller mid-budget films like ‘Passion Play’ and ‘Main Street’ which are still seeking U.S. distribution.
