The Deli Gods have spoken and now all the Upper East Siders who have been schlepping downtown for some time in order to get an authentic pastrami sandwich, schlep no more for come spring the famed 2nd Ave deli is coming to you. Manhattan local news/DNAinfo.com just reported that the iconic deli which first started serving customers in 1954 in the East Village and then moved a bit uptown to Murray Hill, just bought space on 75th Street at 1st Ave and expects to open by April. The 2nd outpost, who will take the space of the now defunct Wicked Wolf Restaurant, will look “pretty much” like the east 33rd Street spot with the same delicious pickles, cold cuts and all other Jewish delicacies. www.2ndavedeli.com
