The Little Orchestra Society and the Board of Governors headed by famed musical director and conductor Dino Anagnost, hosted their annual holiday benefit dinner at NYC’s gorgeous Metropolitan Club on luscious East 60th Street off Fifth Ave. The delicious dinner and preceding cocktail hour followed the Society’s Annual Cathedral Candlelight Concert at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on East 79th Street, and featured award winning dramatic mezzo-soprano Karolina Pilou along with the Metropolitan Singers/The Greek Choral Society. All of NY’s classical music lovers and charitable supporters attended the classy and significant concert and soiree including benefit co-chairs Peter Georgiopoulos, John Tavlarios, Thomas E. Constance and George J. Konomos. The cocktail hour with piano accompaniment was the go to scene where everyone including Gossip Gal celebrated and chatted and enjoyed yummy hor’s d’oeuvres of mini-franks and decadent potato and caviar, with a champagne toast. The Benefit Dinner supported the Orchestra’s new programming and music education and public service programs, offering thousands of children and their families, as well as seniors, opportunities to attend classical music concerts and participate in interactive music learning experiences.
