Well now that reality TV is all the rage and has taken over from many scripted shows thus leaving very little room for actors to act, it’s no surprise that Hollywood star David Arquette would jump on the bandwagon and plan a celebrity oriented show where actors and entertainment figures can get themselves seen. Arquette, who has become entrepreneurial over the years, has partnered with Merv Griffin Entertainment, no stranger to celebrity game shows, and is developing ‘Ranking the Stars’ based on a Japanese format that takes a group of well-known panelists and asks them whether or not they are more or less prone to do something embarrassing. Arquette will host the show and according to executive producer Roy Blank, “This show is all about celebrities hanging out for a bit and taking their guard down.” Will be interesting to see who Arquette, who has no problem poking fun at himself, can get to join in on the humiliating fun.
