The 13th Annual ‘Collaborating For a Cure’ cocktails, dinner, auction and concert, benefiting the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation was an amazing party full of warmth, generosity and celebration. It featured a rocking performance by Grammy winning mega star Sheryl Crow, a cancer survivor herself, who performed intimately to a sold out crowd of 1400 guests, and to an event that raised nearly $1 million dollars. The feeling in the room was magical. Known affectionately by New Yorkers as ‘The Waxman,’ the hot ticket yearly event considered one of the top fundraising galas in New York City, brought out the who’s who of NY all decked out in their best attire and baubles, eating, drinking, bidding and donating to the much needed cause of cancer research and hopefully a cure one day. Past supporters have included Chevy Chase, Steely Dan, Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, John Fogerty and Counting Crows. www.waxmancancer.org
